EAST/WEST ECLECTIC

Situated in the mountains of Big Sky, Montana, this 1998 home received a full remodel plus new addition to double its original footprint. The homeowners, now retired, enjoy traveling together much of the year; from Vietnam to Bhutan and Borneo. They wanted their space to reflect aspects of South/Southeast Asian style and ‘Japandi’ [Japanese/Scandinavian] Minimalism, while still honoring a Mountain-West vernacular.

The result is a collected, livable, and quiet retreat to return home to. It is also equipped with a chef’s kitchen and room to gather 20+ guests to share dinner and stories of their travels.
